Announcement: The New Resistance Roundtables
January 20th, 2025
Dear Fellow Business Leaders,
The policies of the Trump administration represent a profound threat to the well-being of our employees, customers, and communities. Under the guise of nationalism and populist rhetoric, we are witnessing an orchestrated effort to normalize predatory behavior, undermine fundamental human rights, and punish businesses that refuse to conform to their ideological demands.
As business leaders, we occupy a unique position within society—one that grants us both influence and responsibility. The critical question before us is whether we will passively accommodate this drift toward authoritarianism or take a principled stand against it.
It is not a coincidence that we are making this announcement on January 20th, 2025; a day of stark historical contrast between Dr. King’s message of liberation and Trump’s cold authoritarianism.
Today, we are announcing the launch of the New Resistance Roundtables, a series of virtual forums for serious, unfiltered discussion about how we, as business leaders, can resist this administration with moral clarity, intelligence, and solidarity.
Our conversations will center on:
-
The necessity of taking a public stand in the face of systemic misinformation and coercion.
-
Strategies to leverage business influence in defense of marginalized and vulnerable communities.
-
Practical methods for integrating equity and justice into business operations beyond rhetoric.
-
The role of businesses in resisting and dismantling oppressive structures while fostering alternatives.
The first virtual Roundtable will be held on February 11th at 10 AM Central.

Participation is intentionally limited to facilitate meaningful discourse, but I encourage you to share this opportunity with others who are prepared to engage with these issues thoughtfully and seriously.
We are at a juncture where neutrality is not an option. The choices we make now will reverberate far beyond our individual enterprises, shaping the broader landscape of justice, democracy, and human dignity. The New Resistance Roundtables offer a place to begin.
We look forward to your participation.
